This blog conveys the experiences of the Musahar business project initiated by Anne Mette Nordfalk and Karen Vibeke Bagge. The goal is to create a company of women from the poorest of the poor: The Musahar community in Rupandehi, Nepal.
The women started from scratch, they had never been to school, they don’t speak english, they never had a proper job and they could not sew. Now they have a sewing certificate, a job, self confidence and most even savings in the bank.
While we have yet to earn a profit, we have learned alot: Management from a distance, patience, Nepal, happiness and a little bit of tharu language 🙂

This is a great and beautiful accomplishment. I too once had a similar project in Africa. Not with such success. Keep up the good work!
